Mark Penny Potkuck Celebration
On May 5th a large group of cruisers gathered at Club Cruceros to celebrate the life of Mark Penny.The English singlehander was found dead aboard his Westsail 32 sloop one day after leaving
Marina de La Paz with a destination of the South Pacific. His boat, Smiles To Go, was discovered on shore
near San Jaun de La Costa north of La Paz.
His death was initially ruled a suicide, however it is still under investigation.
Mark's family (the first photo below) travelled from England to attend to his affairs and to help
