Win95/98/XP
that will calculate tides worldwide. Drop the authors a note thanking
them.
Many cruisers have commented " It is better than most commercial
programs,
especially outside of the continental United States". The program is
in compressed format, so you will need an extraction program such as
WinZip or
Stuffit. Once uncompressed
run the setup program.

This 2.0MB+ download is a sophisticated Public Domain program for
Windows 98, 2000 and Windows XP that makes verb conjugation "flash
card" type exercises. This program is in development and the author
requests constructive feedback related to program usefulness and
problems.
Spanish TutorIII program
- The SpanishTutor3 application is designed to help a student
learn the
Spanish language through audio review and practice of classroom
instructions. The Spanish lessons included with the application have
been derived from the non-copyrighted version of the United States
State Department, Foreign Service Institute, Spanish courses of 1958.
The application uses text to speech synthesizers to convert simple text
formatted lesson files to speech. The application uses the Microsoft
Speech Recognition engines to compare the
students response to the expected response as defined in each lesson.
Character and voice selections for all lessons are contained in a
separate character data file. The student can create additional
personalized lessons and character voice data files. The student can
also add definitions to the dictionary.
